AGENDA

Pichaya Pattanasattayavong

CEO & CTO, Cleantech & Beyond

Tracking temperature is becoming a crucial functionality of smart packaging technology. Many products have to be transported, stored, and used under a safe temperature. Cleantech and Beyond has developed Digital Temperature Indicators (DTI) which integrate passive RFID/NFC labels with our specially formulated thermoresponsive sensing elements. The innovative DTI can operate without the need of batteries and output both visual and digital indications, allowing low-cost tracking of temperature-sensitive goods at item-level.

Co-founder, CEO & CTO of Cleantech & Beyond, which originated from research conducted in the Electronic Devices and Materials Innovation Laboratory, School of Molecular Science and Engineering, Vidyasirimedhi Institute of Science and Technology (VISTEC), Thailand, where he is the laboratory director. Holding a PhD in Solid-State Physics from Imperial College London, Pichaya has more than 15 years of experience in frontier research, specialised in nano-engineering, advanced functional materials, and electronic devices.

Passionate about advancing basic research into practical, innovative technology. With deep knowledge in science and effective communication skills linking between the academic world and the commercial enterprises, he works closely with experts from a wide range of backgrounds to develop promising and marketable technologies that would serve real demand.

At Cleantech & Beyond, he oversees the technology development of the novel Digital Temperature Indicators (DTIs), smart RFID/NFC labels that can track/record a temperature excursion event and operate without the need of a battery. DTIs are the digital gateway to the item-level tracking of temperature-sensitive goods in logistics as well as component-level monitoring of equipment in industrial plants. By minimising losses, cutting downtime, and simplifying processes, DTIs enhance the efficiency and sustainability of business operations.
