PepsiCo to build a factory with a capacity of 23,000 tons of snacks per year in Ha Nam

The new food factory is expected to supply more than 23,000 tons of snacks each year to Vietnam and Cambodia.

PepsiCo’s new factory, directly managed by PepsiCo Vietnam Foods Company Limited (PepsiCo Foods Vietnam), is located in the expanded Dong Van I Industrial Park, Bach Thuong ward, Duy Tien town with a total area of 80,000 m2.

The enterprise said it will invest nearly 90 million USD, equivalent to more than 2,000 billion VND, in building and operating this factory. The factory will start construction in 2024, marking the company’s 30 years in Vietnam, and will be completed in the third quarter of 2025. The factory will apply modern technology and use renewable energy. At the same time, the business also invested in expanding raw material areas in Ha Nam and the Northern provinces, applying regenerative agriculture methods and digital technology.

According to Mr. Truong Quoc Huy, Deputy Secretary, Chairman of Ha Nam Provincial People’s Committee, this investment project will support the province in realizing its goal of becoming a province with modern industry by 2025, through industrial factories. modernize the use of renewable energy, improve the quantity and quality of labor in the area, as well as develop high-tech agriculture. Mr. Huy said that the province is ready to fully support businesses, remove difficulties in investment procedures under its authority as well as other obstacles, so that factory construction and industrial and agricultural economic development can be achieved. Business and supporting services are favorable.

Mr. Nguyen Viet Ha, General Director of PepsiCo Vietnam Foods Co., Ltd. also said that the business has made many significant progresses despite the general economic difficulties after the pandemic. “We hope the new factory project will contribute partly to promoting economic development, accompanying the Vietnamese people through difficulties and bringing long-term benefits to society,” Mr. Ha said.

In July, the company also received an investment license for a beverage factory in Huu Thanh Industrial Park, Huu Thanh commune, Duc Hoa district, Long An province with a usable area of 200,000 m2 and total investment capital. Investment of 185 million USD, equivalent to about 4,374 billion VND, expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2026.
