The three – day show of ProPak Vietnam 2019 – The premier event for processing and packaging industry in Vietnam, was successfully and officially concluded. The show warmly welcomed more than 554 exhibitors from 31 countries and religions and 9122 visitor counts.

Ho Chi Minh City, 25th March, 2019 – ProPak Vietnam ended on 21st March 2019, leaving good impression on exhibitors and trade visitors as well as accurately reflecting the strong development of Vietnamese packaging and processing industries.

The 14th edition of ProPak Vietnam, held at Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC) from 19th to 21st March 2019, attracted a total visitor count of 9122 and 320 group delegations from many popular enterprises such as Nestle, Proter & Gamble Indochina, Rich’s Product, New Viet Dairy, ACECOOK, Anh Hong Food, Aureole Fine Chemical Products, etc. Throngs of industry visitors scoured ProPak Vietnam 2019 to source, with intentions to stay abreast of the cutting-edge technologies, smart robots, innovations on offer, forge new business partnerships as well as strengthen their existing industry relationships.

Also hosted at the show, 8 international group pavilions from developed industrialized countries like Italy, German, China, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand anchored the event with major local distributors and technology integrators

“Once again, Propak Vietnam concluded successfully with a total of 9122 visitors gracing the exhibition over 3 trade-only show days. We saw an increase in machine exhibits together with an increase in new technology driven educational programs, notably focusing on quality improvements and process control. After 14 years of organizing, the list of participating exhibitors of ProPak Vietnam has become longer and longer. With a strong line – up of well – known exhibitors in processing & packaging sector; together with their innovative products and technologies, ProPak has proved its position and also its reputation.

Mr. Nguyen Anh Tu – Sales & Business Development Manager – Song Song Co., LTD said: “This is the eighth or ninth time that we have joined in ProPak Vietnam. In my opinion, exhibition’s qualification is higher and exhibitors’ booths are more professional. We are very happy to have lots of potential trade visitors come to Song Song booth. Hopefully, organizer will expand the promotion of next year’s edition and attract more customers.”

Ms. Sani Ngamchairoek – Product Account Executive – Solution Creation Company Limited share: “My company is one of the biggest plastic suppliers in Thailand, and we’re here to promote our plastic products. We’ve participated in ProPak Vietnam so many times, we see the exhibitors here are really matching. We expect that more visitors will come to visit us, and the exhibition will be bigger next year.”

Mr. Keisuke Kawazoe – General Director – Ishida Vietnam Co., LTD shared: “I think the quality of this exhibition is really good. Actually when we introduce product for customers, we can’t show the active products, but in this exhibition, we can demonstrate the whole machine, so that the customer can understand clearly, that’s why both we and our customers are happy, and this exhibition is really good for us. Of course we will join in ProPak next year.”

Ly Ngoc Mai - Assistant Director of UNI-PRESIDENT Limited Company shared: “My company has visited ProPak Vietnam for many years and we are always impressed with the scale in term of number of participating companies and exhibiting products. In this time, we're looking for some partners in the packaging industry and are quite impressed with some suppliers presenting at the show by their products and the production line. The scale of this year is relatively large, meeting our expectation. We will definitely continue support the show in upcoming years. Mr. Duong Xuan Dinh, Engineering Manager of URC VIETNAM CO., LTD said: “ProPak Vietnam 2019 is truly diverse in products which we are interested in. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Nhung, Factory Manager of EARTH CORPORATION VIETNAM said: “We visited the exhibition with the need of finding new packaging machinery. We were really impressed by the product line of domestic and overeas exhibitors. In general, ProPak Vietnam 2019 is well organized and professional. We may visit the show in upcoming years. Comprehensive industry view at education seminars

Not merely a product showcase, the three-day trade event was also packed with concurrent educational programs, gathering more than 300 delegates and industry experts, where delegates were able to learn, network and get immersed in industry insights and topical debates, as well as facilitated business and information exchange.

Vietnam Association of Food Science & Technology (VAFOST) introduced a topic of “Food Engineering and Packaging for Sustainable Development” and attracted more than 150 delegates and trade visitors. The conference noted the prominent presence of Dr. Rangrong Yoksan – Kasetsart University, Thailand; Dr. Lai Quoc Đat – University of Technology in HCMC and Ms Nguyen Ngoc Ly – Director, Center for Environment and Community Research; Former Head of Sustainable Development Cluster of UNDP Vietnam.

Firstly joining ProPak Vietnam, The Active & Intelligent Packaging Industry Association (AIPIA) organized a seminar titled “Active & Intelligent Packaging (A&IP) for Food Safety & Security & Traceability across the Supply Chain” with over 70 delegates. The seminar was conducted by renowned industry speakers such as Mr. Andrew Manly - Communications Director, The Active & Intelligent Packaging Industry Association (AIPIA); Mr. Mr. Tim Hadsel Mares - Regional Director South East Asia, Scantrust SA; Mr. Apiwat Thongprasert, Director, STAR RFID and Mr. Surendra Soni - Product specialist, Sealed Air Inc.

Multi Engineering Solutions Laboratory (MES LAB) and Research & Development for Innovation (RDI Vietnam) consecutively support this year’s edition of ProPak Vietnam. The two seminars programs were successfully conducted, drawing attention of 100 delegates.

Be ready for ProPak Vietnam 2020

The 15th edition – ProPak Vietnam 2020 is slated to return from 24 to 26 March 2019 at Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC).

“Next year, in support of industry development, together with VAFOST, we will be co-hosting a bio-degradable packaging competition in conjunction with Propak Vietnam 2020, in addition to a new packaging materials sector with emphasis on environmental compliant chemistries to expand the exhibition’s industry coverage, where we hope to welcome an even larger industry participation at this trade exhibition.
